This month our Studio Spotlight is on Chelsea Sweers, Owner of Sweers Shears located in The Lofts Salon Studios in Farmington Hills, MI. Chelsea specializes in men's grooming and has been in the industry for over 13 years. She enjoys connecting with people as well as talking through life's stresses. What do you love most about being an Independent beauty professional and being your own boss?

“My work/life balance is so much better than it has been in the past.”

In your opinion, what are the benefits of independent salon ownership vs working at traditional salons?

“You are the decision maker in every aspect. This allows me to be able to take care of my clients even better than I could before under someone else's rules.”

“The management is better than any salon or suite I have worked in before. The space is truly dedicated to the professionals that fill the space.”
